Eight years ago, my life changed forever when I was hit by an uninsured drunk driver. The accident left me with devastating injuries: I lost my leg, broke both arms, my leg, ankle, pelvis, and suffered a traumatic brain injury. Through determination and hard work, I recovered enough to live independently and was grateful to move closer to my mom before she passed away in December.

But tragedy struck again in 2023 when I was the victim of a hit and run. This time, I suffered a broken back, partial paralysis, nerve damage, a brain bleed, and more. Despite these setbacks, I have continued to fight for my independence. Less than a year ago, I underwent a total hip replacement to save my remaining leg, and now I am facing a new challenge: a sore on my stump and the urgent need for a new artificial leg so I can walk again without pain.

The cost of the new artificial leg and the medical bills that insurance will not cover are more than I can manage on my own. I have always been proud and never asked for help before, but I want to be independent again. If you can help me in any way, thank you for being a blessing and a God-sent angel.
