My name is Tammy, and for 25 years I worked at the Florida Department of Health. In March 2025, I lost my job and my life was turned upside down. Since then, I’ve been doing everything I can to get back on my feet. I tried to sell my house, but there have been no buyers. I moved to a new city to look for work, but despite applying to several jobs, I keep getting denied. My savings have run out, and I have no money coming in. I can’t afford my bills or my health insurance, and I’m worried about losing my home.

I’ve always been independent and never thought I’d be in a position where I’d need to ask for help. I’m not on welfare, and when I applied, I was denied. The funds I raise here will go directly toward my rent, health insurance, food, and other essential bills while I continue searching for employment.
