On Sunday, October 19th, our dear friend Tammy Nelson was rushed to the hospital, where doctors discovered two brain tumors and another on her lungs. One of the brain tumors was causing swelling, so on Tuesday, October 21st, she underwent emergency surgery to remove it. Thankfully, the surgery was successful, but Tammy now faces a long and difficult road to recovery. Tammy is a single mother with a son still at home, and while she focuses on healing, she will be unable to work. Her bills, however, won’t wait. Tammy has always been a pillar of the Northridge community — she runs the local grocery store, knows everyone by name, and has helped countless people over the years with her kindness and generosity. Now it’s our turn to help her. We’re hoping to raise $6,000 to support Tammy and her family through this challenging time and show her just how loved she truly is.
