The fight continues. Tammy was diagnosed with GBM (Glioblastoma Multiforme) October of last year. She underwent immediate surgery to remove the softball sized tumor. The surgeon did a remarkable job but was unable to remove all of this aggressive cancer. The news was devastating. No one can be prepared for a diagnosis of this magnitude. We have gone through so many highs and lows since her diagnosis and stand with her as this journey continues.

Tammy has completed six weeks of daily radiation and chemo and will finish using the Optune Gio that helps to slow or stop Glioblastoma cancer cells from multiplying once she completes the last week of her six month chemo regimen at the end of the month. She recently had an MRI and once again we wait anxiously for those results.

While we are hopeful we are realistic and know the statistics are not encouraging. Her doctors, while trying to be encouraging, have said even with treatment we'll be lucky to have Tammy with us for 6 to 18 months from her diagnosis. Tammy is a fighter and she is bravely fighting through all of this to have every minute with her kids & family.

We are so thankful for all the support since Tammy's diagnosis and was able to send her & her kids off to Disney today making Tammy's bucket list wish a reality. Now we try to relieve some of the stress her family will be facing at some point. She had no emergency savings and wasn't even thinking about having to worry about possible end of life plans.

Our focus now moves to what will need to be taken care of in the months to come. Our next goal is to get her to see her one son that is not able to go on this trip. We have had the conversation no one really wants to have, what she wants for after life arrangements.

We have been extremely blessed that she has insurance that will cover most, if not all, her medical bills.

Any donations made from this point forward will be used to take care of expenses associated with her ongoing care and end of life expenses. We would like to make sure that her husband and children do not have to worry about these expenses when the time comes.

In an effort to meet this goal her daughter & sister have been actively collecting orders for baked goods and profits from those orders are being used towards this amount.
