Help Tammy & Caden Mayfield Recover After a Devastating Car Accident

On October 21st, 2025, Tammy and her son Caden Mayfield were involved in a head-on collision caused by a man fleeing from police in a stolen vehicle. The crash left them both with severe bruising, pain, and emotional trauma, and completely totaled their car, a vehicle Tammy had only purchased two weeks earlier.

This car was something truly special for Tammy. It had been over a decade since she’d bought a car, and it was the first thing she had done for herself in years. She was proud to finally have something safe and reliable for her and Caden, but through no fault of her own, it was destroyed by someone else’s reckless and selfish decisions.

Although Tammy has full coverage insurance, her policy does not include a rental car, leaving them without transportation as they recover. Even worse, the insurance payout doesn’t cover what she still owes, meaning she will have to pay the remaining balance and still have nothing left to put toward a new vehicle.

This ordeal has been physically painful, emotionally exhausting, and financially overwhelming for Tammy and Caden. Caden wanted to start this GoFundMe to help ease some of that burden, to help his mom cover the remaining balance on her totaled car, assist with transportation costs, and begin rebuilding after such a devastating event.
