Help Tammy beat Pancreatic cancer

Donation protected
Hi, my name is Steve and I’m trying to raise money for my cousin’s wife, Tammy Lovell, to help with pancreatic cancer and kidney transplant expenses. This is Tammy’s story in her own words.

Jon and I (Tammy Lovell) married in 2014, a happy and healthy active life were shared between us. We were lucky enough to work in the same building each day. It was a dream come true lifestyle, with hiking, biking and sportsmens trap and skeet tournaments.

Unexpectedly, my health took a downward turn with a genetic kidney disease. This autoimmune form of kidney disease led to a kidney transplant journey. A sudden change of lifestyle including Dialysis, very expensive medications and diet changes. This sudden change made us both sad. The Kidney team helped us to keep our spirits up even following the transplant. It took many months but finally the meds were all stable and everything settled down, all was going well.

In May I again had an unwanted turn of health, known as the Coronavirus. This virus sunk the immune system lower. Allowing a dormant virus called BK that we all have as a residual of childhood colds. It attached to the donor kidney. I was more fatigued and had difficulty completing simple daily tasks.

Due to a lot of pelvic pain, multiple labs and scans were completed by the doctors. Multiple testing biopsies finally located the culprit. The Gastrointestinal doctor questioned history due to the finding of pancreatic cancer. OK, so here we go again. Now to work on a “game plan”.

Working with the Cancer team at Spectrum is where the current journey is at. The plan is Chemotherapy to “shrink” the tumor. The Oncology surgeons then would hopefully be able to surgically remove the cancer.

The Chemotherapy treatments are very expensive, and the kidney transplant meds use up everything we have.

We understand that many people are bombarded with requests to help other people. We were very hesitant to ask for help but unfortunately, we are very much in need of this help. We would greatly appreciate anything you can do to help us on our journey for me to recover from these diseases. Your financial help, of any kind, would be immensely appreciated.
God bless,
Tammy and John Lovell
