Hi, my name is Barbara. I am fundraising to help my daughter, Tamika, with her cancer treatment.

At the age of 45, Tamika was diagnosed with stage-3 Breast Cancer. Tamika’s life could not be better. She had just started working at a new job in March as a director of housing, which was her perfect job. She was attending school full-time pursuing a master’s degree in Business Administration when she received her diagnosis. Immediately, Chemotherapy treatment was started to stop the rapid growth of cancer after being told the cancer was invasive.

On March 24, 2022, Tamika will undergo a bilateral mastectomy. After her surgery, Tamika will start radiation treatment five (5) days per week for six (6) weeks. Later she will require a second surgery for breast implants. My daughter has kept a positive attitude in trying to keep her head above water; however, she is newly employed, and what little sick leave she accrued has been depleted.

I am asking for monetary donations to pay deductibles, maintain her bills and keep my daughter’s health insurance active. It is detrimental Tamika retains her health insurance to continue treatment. Tamika has found exceptional doctors, and it would be a tragedy if she had to restart the process. The entire process of undergoing chemo, school and maintaining her job has been mentally and physically draining. Please help Tamika by donating, no matter how small.
