My name is Tamika, and I’m a single mother to my 10-year-old daughter, Elana. Since I received a liver transplant in October 2020, life has been a series of challenges for both of us. Elana has shown incredible strength and resilience, helping me through every setback. Over the past three years, I’ve been hospitalized four times due to liver rejection, and each time it becomes more difficult to keep up with bills and secure reliable childcare for Elana.

I’m now facing another extended hospital stay for a biopsy and treatment that will require me to be away for at least two weeks.
