Help Tami Karnes' Family in Their Time of Need

Hello, friends, family, and compassionate strangers. My name is Dustin Karnes, and I'm reaching out during an incredibly challenging time for our family. A couple of weeks ago, my sister Kirsten and I lost our mother, Tami Karnes, just months after the passing of our father, Douglas. The sudden loss has not only left us heartbroken but also facing unexpected financial hardships that came with handling her final arrangements. Tami and Doug were incredible people that touched lives and led people both financially and spiritually through hard times, and we are now reaching out in hopes that the people they influenced have an opportunity to give back in this time of need.

In the wake of this tragedy, we have been met with various costs related to my mom's passing. Unfortunately, there was no life insurance policy, nor are there any assets that can be used to reimburse the out-of-pocket expenses that have fallen to my sister and I. These expenses have quickly added up, creating a financial burden that is difficult for us to manage alone. There have been lawyer's fees, difficulty in managing her home which is in foreclosure, costs of things like her cremation, multiple trips for days on end out of town, and more. Our families have poured everything we can into honoring her memory and fulfilling her final wishes.

As difficult as it is to reach out for help, we are setting up this GoFundMe to ask for your support. Any contribution, no matter how small, will make a difference and will go directly towards covering these costs, reimbursing our expenses for multiple trips out of town, and protecting anything related to this tragedy that may come up in the future. Your kindness and support mean the world to us and will help lighten the financial weight on our families, allowing us to focus on healing and remembering Tami for the person she was. All proceeds will go directly to Tami's children to help reimburse these tremendous costs.
