Help Tami Hughes Recover and Find New Home

My name is Joy Janes and I'm a friend of Tami Hughes. We met several years ago (in the before-COVID time) at a Dodger game (Thanks, Phil!) and have been cheering on the Dodgers together in front of the TV ever since. She's one of the sweetest people I know, feisty and strong-minded as a redhead should be, sensitive, always willing to lend a hand if you need one, and reluctant to ask for help herself. But she needs help now.
She's been getting by on disability and EBT and a little help from her family for several years. Then this happened: kidney failure, a near-death experience that landed her in the hospital, and a full month in a rehab facility. She's still under a doctor's care, on dialysis three days a week right now, but getting stronger every day. To add to her woes and worries, her rent went up and she's having trouble meeting her monthly expenses. She knows she needs to find cheaper housing but she has neither the money nor the strength to pack up and move right now.
Here's the ask: breathing room. She needs help to pay her living expenses for the next few months, cover any medical bills that insurance won't cover, and have enough to pay a deposit and rent at a new place. $6,000 would go a long way to give her the time to recover her strength, her health, cover her bills, find a new apartment, and fund her moving expenses.
Please, chip in whatever you can to help this sweet, kind, and determined woman get back on her feet.
