Help Tamber the Cat with his medical costs

Hello friends, family, and kind-hearted strangers,

I’m reaching out today with a heavy heart and a plea for help. Our beloved family cat, Tamber, has recently been through a traumatic accident, and we are desperately trying to give him the care he needs to recover.

Tamber’s Story

Tamber, our precious house cat, managed to escape from our home yesterday and was tragically hit by a car. The car didn’t stop, but fortunately, our vigilant postwoman found him and rushed him to the vet. While we were frantically searching for him, Laura received the call that every pet owner dreads. Tamber had suffered severe injuries, including a dislocated jaw, the loss of two canine teeth, a broken eye socket, damage to his eye, and multiple deep cuts.

Despite these injuries, Tamber is a fighter and has a strong chance of recovery, although the outcome is still uncertain. His portion of immediate medical bills which have had to be paid for have already reached £2,200, completely draining Laura's savings, and there are more expenses, which could bring the total £4,000, to come as he continues his treatment and healing process.

About Laura

Let me tell you a bit about Tamber’s devoted owner, Laura. Laura is a remarkable person with an immense love for cats. She dedicates her spare time to cat sitting and collects items to donate to the local cat shelter.

Her compassion extends beyond her love for cats. Laura cares for her two disabled parents, one of whom spent several months in the hospital fighting for their life just before Christmas. In addition, she supports her older brother, who has level 2 autism. Despite these challenges, Laura continues to give her all to those around her, and now she needs our help.

Laura is not used to asking for help and probably would never want to trouble people by asking. So I am doing this on Tamber and Laura's behalf.

By contributing to this fundraiser, you are directly supporting Tamber’s recovery and helping a person who has always put others before themselves. Should we be fortunate enough to raise more than what is needed to help with Tamber’s medical expenses, the additional funds will be donated to the PDSA, The Vets Charity for Pets in Need, which has an animal hospital in Gateshead. This way, your kindness will continue to make a difference in the lives of animals in need.
