Help Tamara Sterilize and Care for Stray Cats
Donation protected

Hello! My name is Tamara. I’m a lifelong animal lover and rescuer who works

in Pakistan. I live in a small gated community, along with some colleagues and other folks. When I arrived two years ago, there were probably 100 or so cats. Now we are down to about 30-40. Over the past couple of years, we have been feeding and TNVRing lots of cats.
We have even adopted some of these cats so they are now indoors and will leave with us whenever we move, but we cannot adopt all of them! We usually pay for this out of our own pockets, and we ask for donations from our neighbors, but we are ramping up our sterilization efforts because now we have five active households feeding and trying to catch cats to send them off to the vet. I even bought a trap and gloves when I was last in the US and we will be using the trap to try to catch the spicy wild males.
We have two sick babies at the vet now and one mama is recovering from her spay. On Monday, we are planning to send three additional young cats for deworming and sterilization and another sick kitten. This is an ongoing project. Animals in Pakistan are generally treated very poorly. They’re abused, poisoned, shot, stoned, neglected, and people often just leave pets behind when they shift houses.
We live in a really lovely community, which is sort of a little Cat Haven, and we are just trying to reduce the stray animal population in our little community.
I will post receipts! Thank you for your help! The cats thank you too!
