At the age of 33, Tamara Long was diagnosed with breast cancer. She bravely went through chemotherapy, mastectomy, and radiation in hopes of defeating the battle of her life. Even with those treatments it returned as metastatic cancer in 2021 during the middle of Covid when she was bravely using her nursing skills to manage the Emergency department. Tamara's family, especially her loving husband, Josh Long, stayed by her side and supported her through the tough times. The side effects of cancer treatment are brutal, and she had to take disability. Josh has used up all his vacation, sick, and paid time off to be with Tamara and support her during her fight against this awful disease.
