Help Tamara bounce back from her heart attack

Donation protected

On June 20th, Tamara was in spin class when she felt a radiating pain in her chest. She assumed that it was due to recurring jaw pain she’s had since a car accident in 1988, but just a few weeks later, the same feeling occurred while she was home alone and thankfully, she decided to call 911.

She was immediately rushed to the ER where it was discovered that she had suffered a heart attack. She was admitted to the hospital for observation and additional tests, but due to her relative good health, doctors didn’t think that they would find anything. Unfortunately, they did, and the blockage that they found required open heart surgery and so on July 10th, surgeons performed a double bypass on Tamara.

Tamara will be in recovery for at least three months and unable to work. She will also be bearing the financial burden of the medical bills from a week in the hospital and open heart surgery, along with physical therapy and follow up appointments with specialists as she continues to recover. Her friends and family have started this campaign to help ease the financial burden of what will be a difficult recovery period. The doctors told her that due to genetics she had a “widow maker” heart attack (which has a 12% survival rate) and is VERY lucky to be here. We are immensely grateful that Tamara was able to get prompt medical care and that she is here with us!

We appreciate all of your help in easing her worries during this time!
