Help Talulah flood destroys her home & livelihood

This go fund me is to support our dearest Talulah, a dear friend of over 20 years to find her creative spirit again in the aftermath of the Lismore floods. Talulah and I went to art school back in the late 90's and since then I've witnessed her thriving as a creative in the world, curating her own niche within the creative arts industry and providing countless opportunities to bring magic and joy into people's lives. I am so proud of her accomplishments!

 

Despite Talulah’s best efforts to pack up her home and move The Strumpet loaded with her favourite furniture and personal belongings to higher ground, the flood far exceeded everyone's expectations and a heartbreaking loss unfolded.

Rising above the roof height of her high set home and destroying everything inside, the muddy waters also sadly took over The Strumpet parked on higher ground… a soul-crushing blow and loss to Talulah and all who have come to know its magic.

This loss of Talulah's production company HQ and creative lifework takes with it a remarkable history crafted in magic, beauty and intention for the enjoyment of the community. Countless installations, immersive experiences and escape rooms. Carnivale of the Mysteries of the Soul theatre dinners, Strumpet performance venue and tea house, the Yugen room practitioner offerings, costumes and worldly treasures, home to the Magic Theatre, Imagination playgrounds + home schooling + too many irreplaceable belongings and details to mention, handcrafted props and signs, ancient magic books, electronics, all the artworks she has created and memoirs of her extraordinary life. Beyond her creative home businesses the floodwaters also destroyed all the material contents of a family life with her two boys. A mothers' worst nightmare.

 

Whilst she rides the waves of trauma and processes this huge loss, let's lean in and return some community spirit. Let’s hold her up in our love and contributions. Though it will take some time to rebuild, I trust that with our generous support, our beloved Talulah shall wade through these dark times and find her creative spark once again.
