Hello everyone, my name is Martyn Williamson and I'm trying to raise some money to help my sister, Talor Williamson, as she lost her home and both of her dogs in a house fire only days ago. Luckily she had left the property approximately 3 hours before the fire had started as a result of what seemed to be an electrical fault. Unfortunately, despite the brave efforts from the neighbours and emergency services (which we are incredibly grateful for), the dogs did not make it.
It was the family home for well over 30 years, so it carried a lot of memories for her and the rest of our family. We have recovered several sentimental items but she has lost most of the household items due to fire or smoke damage.
The dogs were Archie (Border Collie - would have been aged 7 on the 12th July) and Bailey (King Charles Cavalier - aged 1). Both dogs had a substantial positive impact on Talor's mental health, as she suffers from depression and anxiety. The dogs were trained to be supportive toward Talor when she suffered from panic attacks and other associated episodes, so the loss of the dogs leaves her in a very vulnerable situation in addition to the loss of her home.
Talor has now got to face the heartache of having to grieve both of her beloved dogs, as she also tries to rebuild her life and home. Any donations would be hugely appreciated, big or small, as this will go towards the following:
- Temporary housing and bills
- Costs toward long-term housing
- Household items and furnishings
- Food, clothing and everyday essentials
Talor had always opened her home and heart to anyone that was in need but now she is the one that needs our help and support, so please help her in any way that you can.
Thank you,
Martyn and family.
