Help Tallan Recover

My name is Khianii Walsh-Mckiernan.

In early hours of the morning on Saturday, 27 November our younger brother tallan was flown to Randwick Children’s Hospital due to an urgent medical emergency. MRI scans have shown an infection on his brain. He was first operated on in the afternoon on Saturday which lasted 7 hours to remove the bone and have it sent away for cleaning and sterilisation. Since then, mri scans have unfortunately shown another abscess which has formed on his brain. They now have to take him to theatre to drain the abscess. He is in excruciating pain and becoming very agitated.

Doctors have said it could be up to a month before he comes home and more operations to come. Given there is no definite time frame as to how long he will remain in Sydney hospital, our mum (Cindy) will be by his side the entire time.

Due to the unforeseen circumstances our family are currently facing, there has been financial hardship with costs involving treatment, accomodation and living costs at home while she is away.

Tallan’s treatment is not over yet and every little bit counts to help him on his journey to recovery.
