Help Talented Children To Save Their Music School

Donation protected
B’Music School is raising the funds for instruments which, during the pandemic, we had to sell to meet our rent payments. This rent fell due every month, even when we were obliged to close because of government regulations. What's more, the building owner upped our annual rent by 400 euro, which was quite crippling. We survived this difficult period because of the loyalty of those families who returned to us when we were again allowed to open. Still, we need additional support due to all the outgoings, but no incomings. We desperately need to buy instruments and return to producing Musicals, Stage Shows, Group Classes, etc. The creation of performance art in a group environment is an extremely important development tool for children and teenagers.
The motto of B’Music School Of Music and Performing Art is: Express Yourself
This includes a student's beliefs, emotions and feelings through music and in front of an audience from early childhood.
B'Music is determined to give that chance to every student regardless of ability or the stage they are at in the learning process. For years, we've helped children struggling with Adhd, Asperger, Autism. We've also brought along children with Dyslexia and Dyspraxia; this through the means of music which helps them discover the freedom to express their personality and to learn to love all that is great about themselves. Their journey with B'Music is to aid them in finding confidence on stage and break away from the anxieties that can sometimes hold them back. On stage, performances help our students shine through, not only in front of an audience but in everyday life as well.
The pandemic was an extraordinarily difficult time for us all. But for a private school without permanent State support, we came close to closure. If it wasn't for the support of Fingal County Council, from whom we received two allowances, this might have happened, so we are very grateful for this help. . These payments helped us to cover basic expenses, the largest of which was our rent, as explained above.

To keep the school open as a going concern, I was compelled to run down my personal savings. Plus, as I mentioned, I had to sell some of our instruments. Our wonderful parents and students, and their dedication to the school is what got us through the multiple lockdowns and restrictions that hurt us so badly.

Also, Covid is still with us. Once a child tests positive or comes into contact with someone who has tested positive, it has a massive impact on our classes. The school is given the short notice, but our teachers still need to receive payment, even if the class is cancelled at the last second. Furthermore, they may be due catch up payments, which to us is effectively a double payment
For example:
We have 180 students in the school for a given week
43 didn't turn up because of Covid reasons
This amounts to 43 students whose revenue we missed. However, we still need to pay the teacher. Then, we must pay them again for the catch-up class. This is unsustainable.
