Help talented Algerian dancer study in Europe

Please consider donating so that a very talented Algerian dancer is able to study dance in Europe and pursue the career he wants.

Hello, my name is Anneloes. I am Dutch. Which means it is very easy to travel the whole world and to study everywhere I want. With my European passport, I get visa's quite easily. Yes, sometimes it takes a little bit of time and money, but it will always work out. 

My friend Naser is Algerian. Which means it is very difficult to travel the world, let alone study abroad. Getting a visa can take months and costs a lot of money. He is an extremely talented dancer (both contemporary and hiphop/breakdance), but in his country, there are no opportunities to pursue a career in dance.

He video auditioned for a dance school in Germany (SOZO Visions in Motion) and got accepted. Because of his talent, he received a 50% scholarship. In Germany, the university will support him with finding a job to pay for costs of living as well as the school fee. Everything seems settled, except that:

Before entering Germany, he needs to show the German embassy that he has a 'blocked bank account' with 10.000 euros on it. (People who are born in Europe don't need to show this.) He cannot make this a reality (I don't know how many 27 year olds can). To be clear, it is a formality, not from the school, but from the embassy. The account serves as proof that his financial situation is stable enough to be allowed to study in Germany. 

He is a really talented and hardworking dancer, and only because he wasn't born in Europe, national borders are making it very difficult for him to pursue his dreams.

Once he is able to get his visa and go to Germany, he will use the donated money to pay his rent during the years he is studying there. With the help of this money, he would not need to work 40 hours a week besides his studies to make ends meet. With this money, he would be able to focus on developing his talent and career.

Hallo, mijn naam is Anneloes. Ik ben Nederlands. Dat betekent dat het heel makkelijk is de wereld over te reizen of in het buitenland te studeren. Door mijn Europese paspoort is het vrij simpel om een visum aan te vragen. Soms kost het wat geld of tijd, maar ik krijg hem uiteindelijk altijd. 

Mijn vriend Naser is Algerijns. Dat betekent dat het heel moeilijk is om zomaar de wereld over te reizen, laat staan in het buitenland te studeren. Om een visum te krijgen moet hij vaak maanden wachten en heel veel geld betalen. Hij is een extreem getalenteerde danser (zowel contemporary als hiphop/breakdance), maar in zijn land zijn er geen mogelijkheden om professioneel danser te worden.

Daarom deed hij video-auditie voor een dansacademie in Duitsland (SOZO Visions in Motion) en werd aangenomen. Vanwege zijn talent ontving hij een scholarship van 50%. In Duitsland zal de school hem helpen een baan te vinden zodat hij in zijn levensonderhoud kan voorzien en de academie kan bekostigen. Het enige obstakel is het volgende:

Om in aanraking te komen voor een studentenvisum in Duitsland, moet hij de Duitse ambassade laten zien dat hij een 'vastgezet bank account' heeft waar 10.000 euro op staat (mensen die in Europa zijn geboren hoeven dit niet). Dit is een onmogelijkheid voor hem (zoals dat voor bijna ieder persoon van 27 jaar een onmogelijkheid zou zijn). Deze regeling is een formaliteit van de ambassade, niet van de school. Het bankaccount moet dienen als een bewijs dat zijn financiële situatie stabiel genoeg is om in Europa te studeren. 

Naser is een extreem getalenteerde en hardwerkende danser. Alleen omdat hij niet geboren is in Europa, maken nationale grenzen het hem nu moeilijk om de carrière na te streven die hij wil.

Overweeg alstublieft om te doneren zodat de kans voor Naser om zijn dromen waar te maken groter wordt. Overweeg alstublieft om te doneren zodat Naser zo snel mogelijk zijn visum krijgt om in Europa te kunnen studeren.

What happens with your donated money when the goal is not reached?

If the goal of 10.000 euros will for some reason not be reached, the money will still go to Naser. The financial support will then hopefully help him to find other ways to pursue his dreams.

Wat gebeurt er met de donaties als het doel niet wordt bereikt?

Als het bedrag van 10.000 euro niet gehaald zou worden, gaat het opgehaalde bedrag alsnog naar Naser. De financiele steun helpt hem hopelijk om op andere manieren zijn dromen te kunnen bereiken.
