We are launching this fundraiser to support our dear friends, Tal and Natasha Barnston, as they rebuild their lives following the devastating Pacific Palisades wildfires. As many of you know, they are newlyweds, beloved friends, and core members and leaders in our Dance Alive community.
Tragically, their home was destroyed in the fires, and they were forced to evacuate with only their passports, marriage license, and a suitcase of basic necessities. They’ve lost countless possessions and irreplaceable treasures, including items passed down from loved ones and mentors. Despite this loss, they remain resilient and hopeful as they work to rebuild their lives.
Why We’re Asking for Your Help
Tal and Natasha are starting over, and they can’t do it alone. Here’s what your support will help them with:
- Finding a New Home: Covering rent and creating a safe, comfortable space with essential furniture like a bed, dresser, and desks.
- Replacing Everyday Essentials: From sheets and blankets to cookware and utensils, they need the basics to start feeling at home again.
- Work and Study Needs: Natasha works full-time from home, and Tal is balancing chiropractic school with his work as a personal trainer and yoga teacher. They’ve lost all their tools for work and study—desks, office supplies, weights, yoga mats, and more.
- Outdoor Gear and Hobbies: Tal and Natasha are nature lovers who cherish camping, surfing, and backpacking. Their outdoor gear, surfboard, bike, and camping equipment—worth thousands of dollars—were all lost in the fire.
- Priceless Professional Resources: Tal’s heart is especially heavy over the loss of his chiropractic books, notes, and tools, including rare and invaluable items inherited from his mentor.
