Our dear friend Tako, only 30 years old, has always been a kind, hardworking, and loving person. A year ago, she was diagnosed with a malignant tumor in her anterior mediastinum – a Type B Thymoma, which later progressed to Stage IV Thymic Carcinoma. This rare, aggressive cancer has rapidly spread, first to her pleura, lungs, and abdominal cavity, and now it’s affecting her brain.

Despite undergoing 6 rounds of chemotherapy and a complex surgery in Turkey to remove the tumor, the cancer has continued to metastasize. Tako has fought through all of this with incredible courage, but she is now facing one of her toughest battles yet. The treatments have been grueling, and the cancer’s progression has left her in constant pain, requiring strong medications to manage her symptoms.

The next steps in her journey involve urgent immunotherapy, which has proven to be the most effective option for her condition. However, this life-saving treatment is extremely costly — each infusion amounts to 15,000 GEL (4,750 EUR). After additional rounds of chemotherapy and immunotherapy, Tako’s condition has improved slightly, but complications have led to her being admitted to intensive care.

Tako’s family has already sold everything they owned to cover medical expenses, but the cost of further treatment is beyond their means. Every contribution, no matter how small, will go directly towards Tako’s treatment, and it will provide her family with the strength and hope they desperately need during this challenging time.
