My name is Takeila Stephens, and I am currently a nursing student working toward becoming a Registered Nurse. This journey means everything to me, not just for my future, but for my family’s stability and the life I’m working so hard to build.

Over the past several months, I have been facing an extremely difficult and unexpected housing situation that has turned into an ongoing legal battle. What started as simply trying to secure a safe home for my family has now become a stressful court matter that I am actively fighting. Throughout this process, I have done everything in my power to advocate for myself and my rights, but the emotional and financial toll has been overwhelming.

At the same time, I am still pushing forward in nursing school. Despite everything, I’ve maintained strong grades. I am determined not to let my circumstances stop me from achieving my goal of becoming a nurse. However, balancing school, legal stress, and financial hardship has been incredibly challenging. Right now, I need help. Funds raised will go toward school expenses (books, supplies, transportation, and exam fees), legal costs to properly fight my housing case, and basic living support while I stabilize my situation.

This is not easy for me to ask, but I am doing everything I can to keep going, for myself and for my family. I truly believe that this is just a chapter in my story, not the end of it.
