Help Take PSB Throws to the Next Level!

We are a dedicated group of throwers from the Penn State Behrend track team, and we need your help to continue rewriting the record books! Over the past few years, our throws team has grown from just 4 athletes to over 20 members, driven by passion, hard work, and a commitment to excellence. With 8 new recruits joining us this season, we have an opportunity to achieve levels of success this program hasn't seen yet.

Despite our progress, we have faced several challenges along the way. For nearly two years, we’ve been without a long-term coach, relying on our teamwork and determination to guide us. Our team now has the opportunity to bring in a proven leader, excellent mentor and even better coach. We’re seeking outside support to provide us these resources we need to thrive.

Just last year, our throws team achieved:

Two new school records in the men's discus throw

One new school record in the women's javelin

5 indoor team Top 10 marks in shot put

5 outdoor team Top 10 marks in shot put

2 team Top 10 marks in men's javelin

1 team top ten mark in women's shot put

Not to mention...

A 1,2,4,5,7 Finish in shot put at the indoor conference championship

A 1,2,3,4,7 Finish in shot put at the outdoor conference championship

2 AARTFC medalists (discus, javelin)

1 NCAA All-American (discus)

All with limited resources, and 100% volunteer coaching.

To compete at our best, we will need high-quality, competition-ready throwing implements, as well as training equipment to allow us to hone our skills and be as prepared as possible to compete at our best. Your contributions will directly assist us each day at practice and allow us to push our limits and achieve our goals in the circle.

Every donation, no matter the size, will help us secure the resources that we need to push ourselves to be better throwers each day. Together, we can continue to grow the Penn State Behrend throws program and continue a legacy of success for years to come.
