Folks I’m hoping you’ll join me as I seek new funding for the next phase of development for ‘SUNNYLAND,' my rock banjo opera.
The staged readings with the Process Series in February were a huge success. Full houses both nights and we even scored a couple really swell write ups.
One from Pamir Kiciman at The Local Reporter:

And another from Adele Harris with The Daily Tarheel.
In addition, I’d like to present to you archival quality video for the Saturday February 8th reading of ‘SUNNYLAND, A Rock Banjo Opera.’ Shot and edited by Nick Karner, this video captures the spirit and the energy of that evenings reading. You get to experience every moment beginning with Director Joseph Megel’s introduction thru to the chat back with the audience afterwards. And in between? Some amazing freaking performances.

And it is because those performances were so amazing with your help I was able to get Taz / Rory, Kong / Gibson, Elena / Cassidy, Gaby / Sasha & Buck / Dickie - who you’ll see featured in this video, into Good Luck Studios to reprise their roles. We have recorded 5 of what I think were the best stand alone numbers, and they sound amazing.
Now as I work on several new numbers and a 3rd rough draft I'm seeking further opportunities for staged concert style readings. Costs associated include everything from festival submission fees to pens, paper and subscriptions for script writing apps.
So whayda say? Wanna help SUNNYLAND continue to develop and find new opportunities?
Love it if ya would.
Cheers big ears!
