We are Murderers Anonymous, a Brighton-based amateur theatre company and this is our most fiendish and ambitious project yet!

Murder at the Manor is an original slapstick comedy play which follows Detective Fred Herring and the eccentric Day family as their peaceful evening descends into pure chaos when (GASP!) someone is murdered. It has a slew of quick-fire gags, ridiculous characters and a mystery that goes spectacularly off the rails.

After five sell-out performances in Brighton and Lydd in 2024, followed by another four sell-out shows at the 2025 Brighton Fringe, we’re taking our original farcical play Murder at the Manor on a UK tour!

We’re a small group founded by two best friends, and the show is written, produced, directed, and funded entirely by us. We started in 2019, performing original shows which we had written and performed purely for fun. In the process of creating this show, we have found the most wonderful cast-turned dear friends that bring our show to life.

Murders Anonymous believe theatre should be accessible to everyone - both for audiences and for creators. We strive to keep ticket prices low and to perform in towns that don’t often get to experience live theatre.

Funds raised through this GoFundMe will go directly toward venue hire, transport, costumes, props, and marketing - all the essentials that make touring possible. Every contribution, big or small, helps keep independent theatre alive, keeps tickets affordable, and ensures Truffles the guinea pig stays employed. At the end of it all, we will be able to split any profits equally between our cast.
