Our dear friend Rod recently had a liver transplant on Friday, July 27th. 13 years ago he found out he had Primary Sclerosing Cholangitis, an autoimmune disorder, and has been on the transplant list ever since. After multiple calls of being the back up for potential livers but being disappointed, Thursday, July 26th he finally received the call that this was his liver! He arrived, surprising the staff that he was the recipient not there to work, and was immediately prepped and taken back to receive his new liver. He is recovering well alongside his family as he embarks on this road to full recovery! Rod has been working at Baylor for 10 years and is an important team member in the operating room and of the Baylor Family. Please help support him, his wife, and three kids during this recovery period. Thanks so much!
