On the night of May 21st, 2021, our dear friend Taj passed away due to an accidental overdose. Due to the racism and incompetence of Richmond PD and EMT's he was unable to be saved. Not only was Taj loved for the music he made but for the kindness he touched everyone he encountered with. He saw the best in every single one of us and he had a special charm that could lighten the mood anywhere he went. He was always everyone's favorite person in the room and brought smiles upon countless faces. He was an icon in the community and was loved by everybody around him. We're all extremely devastated by his passing and want to make sure his energy and memory lives on forever. All proceeds from this fundraiser will be given directly to his family to cover funeral costs and make sure he gets the service he deserves.
