This fundraiser is to help cover the medical costs incurred for Taita Claudino Perez Torres’s son Mauro.

As indigenous people of Colombia, they have a government healthcare plan, which does not cover many major medical expenses.

On November 4th, 2024, Mauro was involved in a horrific accident that nearly ended his life. The medical expenses so far are over $12,000, which is an absolute insane amount of money for an indigenous person living in Colombia. Being in debt for this amount is catastrophic.

Taita Claudino and his family need our help. He has facilitated so much healing around the world and now is our opportunity to help the healer.

Taita Claudino has been through so much in this life. He was imprisoned in Mexico for two years for serving ayahuasca. He was finally freed by in February of this year, after the President of Colombia put pressure on the Mexican government. To say things have not been easy for Claudino and his family is an understatement.

Mauro’s road to recovery will be a long one. I am just hoping we can help by taking off some of this looming financial pressure so that the focus can be on recovery.
