Hi, I’m Abey, founder of Tainanese, the only stall in Australia dedicated exclusively to Tainan-style Taiwanese street food.

In just 10 months of operating, Tainanese gained strong community support and recognition:

• Featured by Good Food (SMH) on social media

• Invited to Fine Food Australia to serve food representing Taiwan

• Invited to SXSW Sydney to provide representative Taiwanese cuisine

• Known as a popular, long-queue night market stall

• One of the most popular vendors at the Granny Smith Festival

In late November 2025, our entire stall was completely destroyed when a tree collapsed during severe weather. All equipment was lost, and we were forced to stop operating.

This GoFundMe is to rebuild Tainanese — replace destroyed equipment, set up a safe and compliant stall, and allow us to continue sharing Taiwanese food and culture in Australia.
