Hi everyone,

I’m writing this with a heavy heart and asking for help once again during one of the hardest moments I’m facing as a pet owner. Anyone that knows me knows I have the softest heart for animals.

In April, I took in a stray cat I found on the streets and named him Taiga. I don’t know his exact age, but I do know he’s incredibly sweet, affectionate, and grateful for the love we give him. Since coming into my home, Taiga has become family and someone I can’t live without.

Recently, Taiga was tragically attacked by dogs in a sudden and unexpected incident. I rushed him to the emergency vet immediately, where they confirmed he suffered a serious and complex jaw injury. Despite pain medication and initial care, my vet have determined that his injury requires advanced dental surgery so he can eat comfortably and live without pain.

I have already paid for emergency care and diagnostics which who got pets know how expensive it can be, but I am now facing $5,000–$7,000 in additional costs for:

• Specialist consultation

• CT imaging

• Jaw surgery

• Pain management and antibiotics

• Follow-up care and recovery

I have some savings, but I cannot cover this entire amount alone without severe financial hardship. Asking for help is not easy for me, but Taiga deserves every chance at a healthy life, especially after surviving life on the streets and finally finding a safe home with me.
