Hello,
Thank you for reading our story...
Our names are Tahjae and Taia, we are 16 year old twins and have been doing karate since the age of 4. We train at Evolution Karate Academy in Ipswich.
In our years in karate we have achieved our black belts and have had great success in competitions. We have competed all over the UK and internationally and have both been World, European, British and English Champions in our individual and team events.
We love karate, it is our life. To have these successes we have to train a lot of hours and make lots of sacrifices, which are all worth it. We do a minimum of 12 hours of karate training a week, plus we train cardio, speed, agility, reaction and plyometrics.
We have just received the amazing news, that we have been selected to represent Karate England at the World Championships which will be held in July in Malmo, Sweden. Anyone that follows our karate journey will know how hard we work and how delighted we are to be selected and given this opportunity to represent England once again.
Unfortunately, karate is not a sport that receives funding and everything must be generated by us as athletes and our parents. We are therefore seeking any kind of support possible, however big or small to help us get to the World Championships in Sweden.
If anyone would be so generous to give a donation to help us reach our target of £1000, we would appreciate it so much and would mean the world to us.
The amount would cover the costs of our flights, accommodation and transfers.
A BIG BIG thank you for taking the time to read our story and for any donations made and support given.
Tahjae & Taia
