My name is TT Mills. In March of 2019, I was diagnosed with Adrenal Cortical Carcinoma or ACC. I had an operation on March 26th to remove an 18cm tumor from my left adrenal gland. As part of my plan to avoid a recurrence of cancer, I have to get scans every three months to check for cancer. My first scan, which was on June 7th, showed spots on my liver as well as swollen lymph nodes. A PET scan revealed that they were in fact cancer that had metastasized to those areas as well as a recurrence at the original surgery site. I am set to start chemo in about 3 weeks. In the meantime, due to illness and multiple doctor’s appointments, my ability to support myself financially has drastically declined. I am currently without transportation to make it back and forth to doctor’s appointments or chemo, I have had to move in with family, and I have virtually lost everything.
