Taha El Taha  ,asylum seeker fled Beirut last year for the U.S., then crossed the border on foot from New York to Quebec , Canada in December 2017— only to find out a few days later that he has Stage 4 colo-rectal cancer that spread to his chest.

  His wife and 2 kids in Lebanon applied for visitor's visa through Canadian embassy in Beirut to be with him while he is struggling with his illness and they were denied.

 Since then, his story was widely spread on the Canadian media and efforts to bring his family before the scheduled surgery date on May 23rd were successful.  His wife and 2 kids arrived Montreal  just 2 days before Taha went to the operating room. 

 Now Taha is recovering from his surgery with his wife and 2 kids living with him in  a small  rented apartment with no financial support.

 We are group of Taha's friends who decided on raising this campaign to support Taha and his family during  their hardship. The money raised will be deposited to Taha's friend, Dr Bilal Ataya bank account who will deliver it to Taha directly and the money will be used to help covering the family's  living expenses.
