Taghreed, a 28 year old mother from Khan Younis in Gaza, has been through unimaginable hardship. She, along with her husband Mohammed, their 4 year old son Saeed, and their 1 year old daughter Ivana, narrowly escaped the horrors of the brutal war on Gaza. Thanks to your generous donations and support, we were able to help Taghreed and her family reach Egypt - a true miracle that saved four innocent lives. Now, we are committed to supporting them as they begin to rebuild their lives. Taghreed has family living in Brazil and she has now been granted visas for herself, her husband and their children. To start this new chapter, we need your help to cover the cost of air tickets for the family to travel from Cairo to Brazil. The tickets on Qatar Airways will cost approximately £3,000 for the entire family. Unfortunately, as Palestinians, they are restricted from choosing cheaper flight options. On arrival they will need accommodation and subsistence costs until they are able to earn any income. Our long term goal is to help Taghreed establish a small business so she can provide for her family. Edit/Update from Taghreed: After arriving in Brazil, things became even more difficult between my husband and me, and we are now in divorce proceedings. I am now alone with my two children, with no source of income, and I am still searching for a job. I urgently need temporary support to help me cover my basic expenses — rent, electricity, water, gas, and food for my children. If I cannot pay these bills, I fear that my children and I may end up without a place to stay. Your contributions will help us stay safe and stable during this difficult period. If possible, your support could also help me start a small home-based project cooking food and selling it, so I can begin to support my family independently.
