Help Taekyung Transition

Donation protected
Hi everybody, I'm Taekyung a 21 year-old transmasculine black/korean child caretaker. I have been on testosterone since 6/25/19 and have been identifying as transmasculine since I was a freshmen in high school.

Since starting testosterone, I'm ready to move on to the next step of feeling comfortable in my body. Despite being socially out at work and at home, I am misgendered and dead-named every day by my employer and parent.

By physically transitioning, I hope it will help my mom see me as her son and not just a daughter.  It is difficult to explain my feelings to her because I am autistic and can be non-verbal, the cultural barrier doesn't help either. I want this to benefit me as much as possible, but I also want my mom to see that being who I am, physically, is possible.

My roommate/sister and I are currently living on a tight budget. I used to be a full time student and full time caretaker, but because of finances I dropped college for a semester. (I won't be returning because of the pandemic) Because transitioning is expensive, it doesn't seem like  feasible thing I can fund on my own.

Game Plan

I have researched many surgeons and decided on two options:

Dr. Kim Jin Hong from Genito-Urinary Reconstructive Surgery Institute in Seoul

OR

Scott Mosser from Gender Confirmation Center in California
~
Depending on when I have enough funds, I will decide on which location to go to. It's a big goal, so I expect this to take a long time to complete. I have hopes that Seoul will be open and it will be safer to travel. If not, California it is! I will have either a friend or my sister accompany me, take a few days to recover, then return back to Vegas.

I plan to use the funds on:

~Name change petition/ID/birth certificate ( ~$300)
~Top surgery (~$8000)
~Travel (~$2000)
~Recovery Stay (~$500)
~I have enough saved to cover one month of rent during recovery (after returning home)

Thank you '///u///'

I have been considering making a GFM since 2018, but was too scared to do so. But I've come around and realized its okay to accept help when needed.  Thank you for taking time to read my GFM, stay safe and healthy!
