Help Me Bring Taco & Panza to China ✈️

After 14 years of teaching art in New York City, I’m turning the page on a brand new chapter I’ve accepted a position teaching at a bilingual school in Shenzhen, China, starting this July.

This move is the leap of a lifetime. But there’s one thing I refuse to leave behind: my two cats, Taco and Panza. They’ve been my home through everything late nights lesson planning, good days and hard ones, and every studio session in between. Where I go, they go.

The problem? Getting two cats safely from New York to Shenzhen is not cheap. Because of China’s strict pet import regulations, I need to use a professional pet relocation agency to transport them as international cargo with specialized handling, USDA health certificates, customs coordination on both ends, and care every step of the way.

Here’s where the money goes:

Professional pet relocation service (both cats, JFK → China): ~$6,000

Veterinary exams & required documentation: ~$500

Total goal: $6,500

I’ve spent 14 years pouring my heart into my students and my community here in New York. This move is my chance to grow, to explore, to teach in a new part of the world and to do it with my two little guys by my side.
