Help Tackle Poverty-Costa Rica 2023

Hello, my name is Hemi and I am 16 years old, I am in my second year of GCSEs studying at Beauchamp College. In the summer 2023, I will be heading off to Costa rica for four weeks with Camps International, spending my time working on a range of sustainable and meaningful community's and conservation projects, as well as undertaking my personal advantage challenge of doing a safari trek along the coast.

It’s a unique opportunity and a very challenging experience for myself and I am really looking forward to it and very excited. I will have the experience of living alongside rural communities, broadening their perspective on the world and also help the locals, wildlife and the environment to change in a better way. This will enable me to reach and exceed my academic and personal potential and to develop valuable life skills, and push the boundaries to step outside my comfort zone, embarking on a personal development journey. I will help get involved with projects such as renovating houses and constructing toilet blocks in each of the houses in the villages, providing families and vulnerable elderly residents with proper sanitation facilities.

To make this happen and to help some of the poorest people and communities to achieve a better day to day life I need to raise money in the region of £4,800, therefore I am setting up this Gofundme Page. The money I raise will go a long way like;

To help me achieve this goal I will plan some of the following activities with the help of my family and friends;
