Being a single mom, raising my son on my own and handling all the bills, is not always easy. But two weeks ago, life became even more challenging. I suffered a severe hand fracture that required emergency surgery and the placement of multiple metal pins to stabilize the bones. Unfortunately, my insurance did not cover the procedure, leaving me with a significant financial burden. Now, I have a second surgery scheduled in two weeks March 13th to remove the pins and prevent long-term stiffness and mobility issues.
Having my hand in this condition is incredibly limiting. Simple daily tasks, like buttoning clothes, cooking, or even typing, have become frustratingly difficult. I can’t properly grip objects, shower, open a bottle or lift anything substantial without pain. Work-wise, it’s slowed me down significantly—everything takes longer, and I can’t perform tasks that require two hands or fine motor control. Until I complete the next surgery and the full physical therapy, I’m stuck relying on others and adapting to half-speed.
The funds raised will help cover the costs of both surgeries, as well as physical therapy and related expenses. Your support will allow me to focus on healing and regaining full use of my hand, rather than worrying about overwhelming medical bills. Any support, whether through donations or sharing my story, would mean the world to me as I work toward recovery. Thank you for considering helping me during this challenging time.
