Help TACC Rescue Rebuild Hope for Sydney’s Forgotten Cats
Donation protected
When the truth came to light about what really happened behind closed doors at SWARS, it shook the rescue world to its core.
The Aftercare Collective was born from the ashes of that heartbreak—not just to pick up the pieces, but to create something better. Something accountable. Something kind.
We’re a new rescue based in South West Sydney, run by a group of volunteers, vet nurses, and everyday animal lovers who couldn’t look away. Our first mission is urgent: we’re working to care for the cats left behind in the wake of SWARS and Shayne Farah.
Many are sick, traumatised, and unadoptable in their current state. Others have simply vanished—lost in the chaos. Their carers have been left emotionally and financially drained, with no support, no backup, and no closure.
We're stepping in where no one else will. But we can’t do it alone.
Where the funds will go:
Emergency vet care & desexing
Premium food for recovery & health
Temporary and long-term foster setups
Transport, microchipping & vaccination
Legal and admin fees to register as a charity
And most importantly—to ensure these animals are never forgotten again.
Why we need your help:
Rescue work is relentless. We’re working without government funding, without corporate backing, and with a trauma that no animal should have had to endure. But what we do have is heart—and now we need your hands.
Every dollar you donate helps us say:
"You matter. You’re safe now. We’re not going anywhere."
Please share. Please give what you can. Let’s build a future we’re proud of—for the animals and the carers left behind.
With gratitude and grit,
The Aftercare Collective
Because rescue doesn’t stop when the headlines fade.
