Tabitha and I have been friends since third grade. We have known each other for almost our entire lives. Although we live in different states, we still keep in contact with each other regularly. You can imagine how devastating it was to hear the recent news, not just for me, but for her husband and four children.

Back in 2012, Tabitha was diagnosed with a brain tumor. She had surgery and went through chemotherapy, which took a toll on her body. Even when the doctors told her the outcome wasn't good, she continued to remain strong and fight back.

Recently, she was experiencing seizures again. (I witnessed this when we were camping together for Thanksgiving.) The doctors did several tests to determine the cause. Tabitha tried several seizure medications to make them stop. Then came the news... After almost 14 years, another brain tumor. In the past week, Tabitha went through another operation to remove the tumor. The surgeon said the surgery was a success and he was able to remove all of the tumor. This is great news! However, the side effects of the surgery have caused partial loss of vision and lack of movement in her left extremities.

With several weeks spent in the hospital, the surgery, and future care such as rehab, the medical bills are adding up. This campaign is to help support Tabitha, John, and the rest of the family financially, so they can focus on Tabitha feeling better and not have to worry about medical bills.
