Hi! I am fundraising to bring a Syrian refugee to Canada to join his brother and sister-in-law. Mohammad-Belal, 22, was displaced from his home in Syria along with his parents and four siblings during the civil war there, and has been living in a refugee camp in Jordan since 2013.

I am supporting Mohammad-Belal’s older brother and his wife in their dream to bring their family to Canada and begin a new life here free from the hardships and stresses of life in the camp. As refugees in Jordan, none of the family is allowed to work and so helpless to change their situation. They must rely on supplies provided in the camp for survival. They would like to start by bringing Mohammad-Belal to Canada as he was able to complete high school and is currently studying English. He plans to work in Canada, and together with his brother and sister-in-law, save enough money to bring the rest of the family to Canada.

Following the Canadian government guidelines for refugee sponsorship, we need to raise $19,000 to sponsor Mohammad-Belal. He will live with his brother and sister-in-law when he arrives. I would be very grateful for your financial support for Mohammad-Belal’s sponsorship.
