Help Symone Walk Again

Donation protected
Meet Symone! A brave, bright, and beautiful 7-year-old girl who has been fighting since the day she was born. Symone was diagnosed at birth with a rare genetic condition called Arthrogryposis Multiplex Congenita (AMC), which causes multiple joint contractures and severely limits her mobility.

Over the years, Symone has endured more than most children her age. She has already undergone four major surgeries at McMaster Children’s Hospital to correct her hips, knees, and club feet. Her most recent surgery required a six-month recovery, including four months away from home as an inpatient at Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital.

Despite everything, Symone’s spirit shines. She is an incredibly bright child with big dreams, quick wit, and a warm personality. Her condition does not affect her mind. She loves learning, socializing, and finding joy wherever she can. But physically, her journey has become increasingly difficult.

Recently, new scans revealed that her knees have deteriorated significantly, and her doctors in Canada have reached the limits of what they can do. Symone has now been referred to Nemours Children’s Hospital in Wilmington, Delaware, a world-renowned center specializing in complex pediatric orthopedic cases like hers. This is her best chance to regain her independence, stand tall, and, with hope, walk on her own again.

Why We Need Your Help?
While Symone’s surgery itself is covered by insurance, the family faces enormous costs for:
• Travel to the U.S. for consultations and surgery
• Living expenses during her extended stay in Wilmington
• Intensive physiotherapy and rehabilitation several times a week for months after surgery
• Time away from work as her parents dedicate themselves fully to her care

Symone’s parents, Pat and Cindy, have sacrificed endlessly to ensure their daughter receives the best medical care possible. But this next step, her most critical yet, is beyond what they can manage alone.

How You Can Make a Difference?
Every donation, no matter the size, will go directly toward Symone’s recovery journey, giving her the chance to live without constant pain and limitations, and the chance to walk again.
If you’re unable to give financially, please consider sharing this fundraiser with your friends, family, and community.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your love and support. Together, we can help Symone stand tall.
