Sylvie is my youngest kitty who started having seizures in late December 2025. Since then we have visited with multiple cat neurologists (yes those exist ), tried different anti-convulsant medications and had multiple ER visits, and have had trouble finding the right medication dose/combo that works for her. At this point she likely needs overnight hospitalization and an MRI to look at exactly what’s causing her seizures. The meds themselves are surprisingly cheap; it’s the testing, procedures, and ER visits that are quickly becoming unaffordable for me but still extremely necessary for her.
Overnight stays with seizure control medication start at 2,000, and MRIs are closer to 6.
Beyond her seizures, Sylvie is a sweet 1.5 year old farm kitty who loves to explore and chase her sisters (even when they don’t want her to). She loves rolling around in the sunshine on my porch, snuggling with me and attempting to steal my food, and sometimes even going on walks in her harness. My biggest goal forever is to give my pets the best lives they deserve and I would love to see Sylvie act her silly self again ❤️
