To know Sylvie is to love her. She is kind, engaging, talented, and a friend to everyone she meets. I’ve had the honor of knowing and loving Sylvie and her mom Hannah for close to 10 years, and I know that they rarely ask for help but are quick to help and encourage others. Sylvie needs our help and support.
Sylvie has struggled with her mental health, and while it wasn’t a secret, it hasn’t been something she has openly shared about until more recently. Sylvie has been so brave to share more about her OCD diagnosis and battling intrusive thoughts. She has received outpatient therapy, has been on medication, has received hospital care, but right now, she needs a higher lever of care, and she needs it urgently. She has made the decision to take a break from college to focus on her mental health.
Sylvie has taken another brave step and identified, along with her family and medical team, that intensive in-patient treatment is her best course of action. It is urgent and for Sylvie this is a matter of life and death. She needs help now.
Sanctuary Clinics (https://sanctuaryclinics.com) is a Christian in-patient facility located in Monticello, Florida where she will stay for 30 days. While the cost is much lower than other in-patient facilities, it is still more than Sylvie and Hannah have available, and there is an urgent need to send Sylvie as soon as possible. The cost for 30 days of intensive care is $7,500.
Sylvie has to get the help she needs. She is a bright light that our world so desperately needs. My life is more full because of her, and I know that is true for so many who love her and get the joy to call Sylvie their friend or their family. For me, she is both.
Please use the Go Fund Me link or reach out to Hannah directly.
