Help Sylvia with child care

Hi, my name is Pam and I'm fundraising for Sylvia (Xiuli). Sylvia's husband, Jon, passed away 4 days after she gave birth to their baby girl Serena. Sylvia had a c-section and will be unable to work because of her new born. She is also taking care of their 5 year old son AJ. Unfortunately, Jon did not have life insurance and was only 38 years old when he passed away unexpectedly from a sudden onset of pneumonia in his home. He was the only bread winner in his household and took care of his elderly parents as well. Unfortunately, Sylvia does not have any family in Canada to help her during these difficult times. To make things even sadder, Jon's brother passed away many years ago as well, leaving his parents to grieve for the loss of both of their sons.

Jon was an amazing leader in his community. One of the most kind, thoughtful, empathetic and caring human beings I've ever met. He was a manager at my store and was a mentor to everyone he worked with. He believed in the best of humanity and worried about everyone else above himself. We'll be helping to cover the cost of his funeral, but without life insurance, Sylvia is in a very difficult position.
