Hello, my name is Andrew Torres, and I’m reaching out on behalf of my mother, Sylvia Torres — a woman whose life has been defined by love, faith, and selfless care for others. Today, she’s facing one of the most challenging moments of her life, and I am seeking your assistance to help restore her hope.
For decades, my mom devoted herself to caring for her mother, Guillermina Williams, and to preserving the home that had been in our family for generations — a small house in Hacienda Heights where laughter, holidays, and love filled every corner. She was by my grandmother’s side through every struggle, held her hand in her final moments, and made sure her last days were surrounded by dignity and peace.
After my grandmother’s passing, everything changed. The betrayal of trust and unethical behavior involving actions of scamming against my mother has left her without a home. Through heartbreaking legal complications involving her late brother’s family, my mother was disinherited from her mother’s trust and ultimately lost her family home she worked so hard to protect. The place where she grew up — where she cared for her mother until her last breath and lived in — is now gone.
Now, both my parents are retired, in fragile health, and on the verge of homelessness after losing the family home they spent a lifetime caring for. Burdened with overwhelming court and legal fees, they’ve exhausted every option and don’t qualify for private loans. With nowhere else to turn, we’re asking for help from our community — from anyone who believes in compassion, justice, and family.
Your donation will go directly toward court and legal expenses and help my parents transition into a new home where they can rebuild stability and peace after so much loss.
This is about more than property. It’s about dignity, legacy, and love — about giving my mom the chance to start over after a lifetime of giving to others.
If you’re able to donate — $20, $50, $100, or whatever you can — please know it will make a real difference. And if you can’t give financially, simply sharing this story or sending words of encouragement means more than you know.
Your kindness, compassion, and support mean the world to us.
With deep gratitude,
Andrew & Sylvia Torres
