Help Sylvia Rebuild After Hurricane Helene
Donation protected
Hi, I'm Debbie Calderon, and one of our dear friends, Sylvia Jancher, has just lost everything due to Hurricane Helene.
Sylvia lives in Madeira Beach, FL, and is an amazing and generous person.
She was trapped in waist-deep waters in her duplex and had to escape. She managed to walk down the street, in waist-deep water, to an apartment building where she made it to the second floor. A very kind stranger took her inside her apartment. We have not heard from her since, as there is no power and cell service is gone on the island, but we know she is safe.
She had to leave her 2 precious kitties behind, which I know was nearly impossible for her to do. She has lost everything—her entire home (she rents) is flooded with waist-deep water. She lives on a fixed income, and I want to do all I can to help her.
My husband, daughter, and I spend time in Madeira Beach every year and have for over 23 years. We met Sylvia when she was our server at Screwie Louie's Restaurant, and after a few years, we became friends and like family. She has watched our daughter grow up, and we love her dearly.
If you are able, please donate to help her during this extremely challenging time. We are grateful to God that she made it out with her life, as many did not.
Thank you for your prayers and your donations. I promise to keep you posted.
ALL donations will be given directly to Sylvia so that she can start to recover and rebuild her life.
