As some of you may know, my mom is my heart and at a young age of 57, she has received the diagnosis of ovarian cancer. As a single immigrant mom, my mom has worked 10+ hour days on her feet for the last 15 years to make sure my brother and I had everything we need. Not once did she make us feel like we were less than or poorer than others. She sacrificed everything in her life to make sure we were secure, safe, and happy. She is my best friend, my everything, and the reason I am who I am today.

We’ve already faced $10,000+ just for the testing and surgery to discover this diagnosis alone. Without insurance, we currently face an insurmountable amount of bills ahead of tests, scans, and treatment on the difficult journey ahead. There are so many unknowns, but one thing is certain: I’ll never stop fighting for my mom.
