Help Sydney Fight for Answers: Conquer Recurring Kidney Infections

Hi everyone,

My name is Sydney Carney, and I'm a 25-year-old facing a frustrating and debilitating health challenge. I'm reaching out to you today with a plea for help. For the past 5 years, I've been battling recurrent kidney infections. Even going to lengths of removing my whole bladder to try to prevent further infection. These infections are incredibly painful, disruptive to my life, and frankly, terrifying. They land me in the hospital 2 times a month for 5-7 days at a time, and I'm constantly worried about the long-term damage they may be causing.

The most disheartening part of this whole ordeal is that my local doctors have exhausted their resources. They've run tests, tried various treatments, and consulted with specialists, but they've hit a dead end. They simply don't know why I'm getting these infections so frequently, and they have no further treatment options to offer. This leaves me in a terrifying limbo, facing constant pain and the fear of what the future holds for my health.

I'm not ready to give up. I believe there are answers out there, and I'm determined to find them. I've researched extensively, and the Mayo Clinic in Rochester 

stands out as a beacon of hope. They have renowned specialists in kidney disease and are known for their ability to diagnose and treat complex medical cases. I believe they are my best chance at getting a proper diagnosis and a personalized treatment plan that will finally put an end to these recurring infections.

Unfortunately, traveling to Mayo Clinic and receiving treatment there comes with significant costs. The consultations, tests, travel expenses, hotel stay, food/drinks, and potential follow-up care are far beyond what I can afford on my own, especially while dealing with complex medical issues that leave me out of work.

That's why I'm creating this GoFundMe. I'm asking for your help in raising the funds necessary to get me to the Mayo Clinic. My goal is $2,500, which will cover copayments, gas for driving, food & drinks, someone to accompany me, hotel costs, & any addition hospital or travel expenses.
