Hello friends. I am asking for your support today because, as you may or may not know, I took a fairly circuitous path to higher education and am finally in my final semester at the University of Texas at Austin! Hooray! However, the grant I receive that covers tuition (Texas Advance Commitment), has been unceremoniously cut off. Boo!

Long story short, while I was told that the grant would cover my tuition for three years (6 semesters), what they really meant was 3 academic years and since I transferred in the spring of 2021, it will have only covered 5 semesters. I received this grant because I am a low income, independent, and non-traditional student. I am majoring in Health and Society at University of Texas- Austin and plan to pursue my Master's in Public Health.

I've maxed out on federal student loans because trying to balance a great GPA while also living in what's fast become one of the more expensive cities in the country is hard. I volunteer my hours between working 30 hours a week and school, enrolling people for health insurance. I need your support to continue with school while working.

I know that times are rough for everyone right now, especially the majority of my friends in the Austin hospitality industry, however, I'm reduced to asking for help from my friends and family to pay for this final semester of school on the internet. Know that I am grateful of you for even taking the time to read this from the bottom of my heart. Every share and donation helps me so much.

Any money raised will go to my tuition, books and living expenses with tuition being paid first. School starts on August 26th and my final tuition payment is due October 16th.
